Standard artificial defects:

Machining of artificial defects on customer parts in the field of aeronautics, aerospace, ball bearings, nuclear energy, rolled, forged, turned, ground metal…

These artificial defects often consist of fine notches, flat bottom holes, V-shaped slits, abraded surfaces…

These defects are used as a standard for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to use eddy current probes and ultrasonic testing.

The standard tubes, standard wedges, standard plates, standard welds… made, allow to calibrate the probes and also to detect and quantify cracks, corrosion zones, porosity, heterogeneous zones on the real production parts.
